Dr. Bernice "Bunny" Sandler is the most consequential feminist you've never heard of: in 1969, she found a footnote and filed the lawsuit that turned into Title IX (which made sex discrimination illegal in education, including athletics and sexual harassment).
The Bunny, Godmother of Title IX one-person show is about Bunny's incredible true story, told by her great-niece Rora. What happens when we look within our own families for sources of strength and empowerment? In the wake of #MeToo and Time's Up, this tale of an ordinary feminist hero sheds light on how the smallest braveries can have the largest impact on the world.
Originally premiering at Yale University in April 2018 and receiving the Yale Trumbull College Fine Arts Award, Bunny was most recently produced at the Dixon Place Theater in New York to a sold-out audience.
